New Month, New Film

After coming to the end of my 5 pack of Kodak Porta 400 film, I wanted to try something different. That film was particularly renowned for its beautiful reproduction of skin tones and I wasn’t taking many portrait shots, so I decided to change it up a bit. I wanted a film that would pick up the tones of natural landscapes more effectively, distinguishing between the different greens, browns, blues and greys which the Portra was having trouble with. After a bit of research, I settled on the Kodak Ektar 100 film.

Here are the first few test shots on the first roll of that, with two more posts on the way soon:

  1. You have a great eye for composition! I like the feet shots, and the dock with the blurred buildings in the background. My hubby is a great photographer and you remind me of him…

  2. I cannot fault them, great composition from what I can tell, nice colours too, not over saturated in anything, just looks natural to me.
